Eye Shadow to Bring Out Your Eyes

Eye shadows come in such a wide array of colours, there’s always something different to wear according to your mood or outfit. However, when it comes to bringing out the colour of your eyes, there are certain eye shadows which may be better to use than others. Your eyes are one of your most beautiful features; try to enhance their colour with your eye shadow, and you will be amazed at how much they can stand out.

Blue Eyes

• For blue eyes, there are many eye shadows which will successfully highlight the blue. Warm colours such as orange or copper provide a strong contrast against your cooler blue eyes. Brown is also a good colour to wear for the same reason, in various shades from darker browns to lighter more neutral tones. Other neutral tones such as whites and greys are also good at letting your blue eyes shine through.

• Although traditionally make-up artists have recommended not wearing blue eye shadow with blue eyes, in actual fact blue on blue makes a great combination. Light blues, dark blues, all will highlight how blue your eyes actually are.

• Finally, blacks will actually bring out blue eyes rather than overpowering them. Particularly for a night out, black makes a good choice of eye shadow.

Brown Eyes

• With brown eyes, it is often best to wear warm shades to help to bring out the warmth of your eyes. Shades like peach, purple, and hazel colours are all great at doing this. Other colours such as gold and bronze are similarly good choices for brown eyes. Even shades of brown are great to make your eyes the focus of your face.

• On the other hand, cooler shades mean that your brown eyes are contrasted nicely. Shades such as greys and blues makes for good contrasts, be those warmer or cooler shades.

Green Eyes

• Brown is always a good colour to wear if you have green eyes. Any brown shade works with green eyes, be that copper and gold shades, or dark browns for evening wear. Similarly, apricot shades can also make your green eyes pop out.

• Purples can also leave your green eyes sparkling. Although more pinky shades of colour should be avoided, deep purples makes a great contrast with your bright eyes. Deeper grey shades can make an interesting combination too.

Grey Eyes

• Often forgotten about, those with grey eyes also have a range of eye shadows which will look great on them. In fact, grey eyes often look best in the shades which would suit blue eyes as well. Think browns, golds, greys, blues, silvers and whites. Any of these colours will have your grey eyes standing out in an instant.
