How to Apply Bronzer

Bronzer is a great way to give yourself a summer glow, even in the middle of winter, and find yourself the envy of all your friends. Not only is it a good option if you are unable to sunbathe, it is also quick and simple to apply. Even if you are the most tanned person you know, or the palest, there are ways that everyone can wear bronzer and still look good.
• When choosing your bronzer, try not to buy anything that’s too dark for you. Bronzer never looks good when it is used too heavily or when it leaves you looking a bit orange. Instead try a bronzer which is one or two shades darker than your skin is currently. This is much more realistic to how you would look with a tan.
• Before applying bronzer, use some powder as a foundation. Liquid foundation and bronzer used together can often end up looking muddy together, so keep the base simple and let the bronzer take all the focus.
• If you are using a powdered bronzer, it is always best to apply using a large make-up brush. Try not to put too much powder onto the brush at one time; if you want to build up the colour then applying layers of bronzer to the face is the way to go. Shake off any excess from the brush.
• If, on the other hand, you prefer to use liquid bronzer, try applying this with your fingers. Dab this lightly onto your face and then blend it in using your fingers. Again, don’t be too heavy handed. Building up layers of colour will help you to get a good, natural, bronzed look.
• Apply the bronzer to your forehead, cheeks, nose and chin; basically all the places of your face which would naturally get tanned. Remember to blend the bronzer in well, and to ensure areas such as the hairline are covered.
• If you have quite pale skin, it is still possible to use bronzer. Try using a little blusher on your cheeks. This will give you a more natural bronzed look.
• If you make a mistake, it is always easy to lighten or wipe away the bronzer using cotton or make-up remover.
