Ipoh is the capital city of the Malaysian state called Perak. With a population of about 700,000 people, it was once known as the ‘City of Millionaires’ due to its booming tin mining industry in the beginning of the 20th century.
George Town, sometimes also referred to as Georgetown, is the capital city of the Malaysian state called Penang. It was named after British King George III and it has a population of about 400,000 people.
